And the winner is...
The judges have weighed in and we have a winner! Go to the #HackFrost gallery to congratulate 511NY for Pebble!
First of all, I want to personally thank each and every person that made #HackFrost possible, including all the particpants. It's been an honor to be involved with this project and the fine people that surround it. Special thanks to Accela, Inc. and Park Ave Portraits for donating prizes, as well as Mark Headd, Mike Vormwald and Brian Chabot for volunteering their time for judging and being supportive in general.
Even though the competition is over, you don't have to stop coding. Update your portfolio to inform your followers about new projects and get feedback from fellow hackers. We plan to share your work with as many people as possible to help make sure the fine work you've all done gets as much use as it can.
If you submitted a project but didn't win, well I hate for you to go home empty handed. Each participant will receive a $10 gift card to the Github shop as another thanks for participating. Every project was great, and it was not easy to award a single winner. The judges and myself all felt that the work had to be rewarded. Please send your preferred mailing address to tom@thomashart.me if you were part of a team that submitted a project but didn't win.
Another congratulations to our winners 511NY for Pebble for a job well done. Their project was innovative, had real world impact and we were all very impressed by the level of polish and presentation.
We hope you all come back next year for the sequel. One last huge THANK YOU to everybody We couldn't have done it without you.
